Since 2016, we have been a member of the National Cybersecurity Center of Excellence’s (NCCoE) National Cybersecurity Excellence Partnership (NCEP). In this program we have collaborated in 10 test environments, which produced practice guides across many industries, spanning both IT and OT.
Our two most recent collaborations were published in February and in March. This first practice guide focused on cybersecurity guidance that explores how information exchanges between commercial- and utility-scale distributed energy resources and the electric distribution grid can be monitored, trusted, and protected.
The second looked at protecting information and system integrity in industrial control system environments for the manufacturing sector.
What is the National Cyber Security Center of Excellence (NCCoE)
The NCCoE brings together collaborators from industry, government, and academia with the intent to address real-world cybersecurity needs. From securing complex IT systems to protecting the nation’s critical infrastructure.
Its mission is to advance the state of cybersecurity practices that help companies embrace adoption and broad deployment of integrated cybersecurity tools and techniques that fortify defenses and keep IT and OT networks safe.
This is achieved by inviting members of the community to talk about their challenges, then publishing a version of the project to the NCCoE website outlining these cybersecurity challenges. From here, draft architectures are built and a team of cybersecurity collaborators (like TDi), government agencies and academic institutions address these challenges. After building practical and repeatable implementations with real-world technologies, the results from these collaborations are then published in the NIST Special Publication 1800 Series.
Why TDi Technologies is an NCEP Member
We view the NCCoE’s research as the tip of the spear when it comes to cyber security and advancing knowledge about defending networks against threats. As an NCEP partner, we contribute our product, expertise and support to advance the adoption of secure technologies and practices.
We think it is important to contribute our part to advancing these means of protection against threats. By supporting these research activities, we are advancing the knowledge of cyber security defense in the IT and OT industries while also creating efficiencies.
Through our experience in these research activities, we are also able to validate and learn of additional challenges that take our product in directions that result in more value to our customers and greater protection for them against bad actors.
Your Security Matters
Our goal to continue adding value for our customers and furthering the knowledge of protecting against threats in cybersecurity is reflected beyond our partnership with NCEP. We continue to ensure that ConsoleWorks offers superior protection and enables the latest in cybersecurity needs, like Zero Trust.
We strive to give our customers superior protection beyond what we consider should be your “baseline” state of cyber defense. We take our customers beyond those needs and put them on the cutting edge of cyber defense in their IT and OT environments.
We also secure our role as a responsible partner in our customers’ supply chains. It’s why we completed the SOC for Supply Chain evaluation and penetration test our product and our company to ensure we are a secure link in your supply chain.
